Hi, I’m Joan C. Thomson, visual artist and shameless lover of color. You could say that I was born into color—my mother wore a pink wedding dress. My parents carpeted living room and dining room  in royal purple when I was seven. Between decorating, and gardening and yes, I’m known for colorful clothing, I’ve had an insatiable need for color. Why? Because color is joyful. When I am joyful, it’s expressive—when I’m feeling down, it cheers me up. Do you love color too?
